Arthurs Lake Quarry is a hard rock Dolerite Quarry formed in the Jurassic geologic period and has operated since 2012. Tamara and John purchased the Highland property in June 2023 and applied for the mining lease transfer in September 2024
The quarry supplies variety of aggregates materials for Central Highlands Area servicing Infrastructure Projects and Domestic Developments.

The quarry is a level 2 activity with a maximum annual production limit of 40,000 cubic metres Solid dolerite in the ground has a bulk density of around 2.9 tonnes per cubic metre, once processed into road-base and subbase material the bulk density is around 1.8 tonnes per cubic metre. 40 000 cubic metres equates to approximately 72 000 tonnes capability per annum.

The Arthurs Lake Quarry is ideally located to provide construction materials to Central Highlands Area of Tasmania.
The Arthurs Lake Quarry is a part of a 110 - hectare private parcel of land between the Arthurs Lake Road and Arthurs Lake. The quarry is situated on the Southern side of a ridgeline; The mine lease existing footprint is a 5-ha area close to the crest concealed by woodlands and from Arthurs Lake view.
The area is known for its holiday shack and recreational activity The nearest settlement is Flintstone approximately 1.3 kilometres away.
The environmental management plan ensure that the important aspects of the operation are adequately monitored and mitigating measures are introduced to minimise environmental impacts
